Brief Overview of Lincoln, CA
History
Lincoln sprang up along the California Central Railroad in the late 1850s and early 1860s.
About 10 years later, clay deposits brought an influx of growth which sustained Lincoln throughout much of the next century. In the 1990s, Lincoln grew again as residents slowly moved away from Sacramento proper and into smaller cities nearby.

Lincoln, CA today is a prosperous city of around 50,000 residents.
Local residents enjoy spending time in the great outdoors or playing in the nearby gorgeous and famous casino, Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

The Cons of Lincoln, CA
Like all cities in California, Lincoln does have a few cons as well.
1. New Houses
While this could be a pro to people who love new, low-maintenance homes, it does mean a lot of construction is going on pretty much all the time.
Lincoln has a lot of open land for building new construction, which means you might see a lot of ugly construction sites near your home.
So, while you may find new homes a plus if you want to purchase one, you will be in an area that’s growing quickly and busily.
2. Hot Weather
The weather in Lincoln is hotter than in many other areas of California.
Many summer days get pretty high—up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more. While there are certainly options for swimming or partaking in indoor activities, if you prefer to be outside or need to work out of doors, you may find the heat pretty oppressive.
3. Expensive Homes
In Lincoln, California, the average home price is around $591,800. Lincoln is approx. 13% less expensive than the average California median house price.
However, they are 49% higher than the average United States median house price.
