Are you getting bored, being stuck in your house every weekend? If so, I’ve got something fun you can do with the whole family, and it starts right now.
Hi, I’m Warren Oberholser. I’m a realtor in the East Bay Tri-Valley area in Northern California. My goal is to help both buyers and sellers get maximum results for one of their biggest investments, their home.
It’s been over six months now since we’ve had shelter-in-place orders. And for many of us, it’s been tough on the weekends, just being stuck in our house. Fortunately, I’ve got something fun you can do with the whole family every weekend.
I want to let you know that every weekend, Pleasanton’s Downtown Main Street area closes off the streets to vehicle access, to allow their local merchants, restaurants, to expand their seating capacity out into the street. This has been going on since the middle of June, and it is extended to the 1st of November.
I went down last weekend, which was Labor Day weekend to take some video footage from my YouTube channel. Unfortunately, it was one of the hottest weekends. However, despite the heat, the people that made it down there were having a really good time.
You see, by closing off the streets, it creates a safe and inviting environment for everybody. It’s basically a party or a street fair every weekend. This is the perfect setting for dinner or lunch, or it’s also neat just to grab a coffee or soft drink and take a carefree stroll up and down Main Street.
Now there’s also other activities that occur on the weekend in this area. One is the Farmer’s Market, which occurs on Saturday mornings. Now, please note for everybody’s safety, all social distancing rules and guidelines are enforced.
To find out more about this neat event, please visit Pleasanton Downtown Association. You’ll find a link for it below. Thanks so much for watching. Now that you’ve watched this video, you may want to watch these other related ones.
I hope you enjoy this article. Please email me any questions you may have. [email protected]
