Hi, I’m Warren Oberholser. I’m a realtor in the East Bay Tri-Valley area in Northern California. My goal is to help both buyers and sellers get maximum results for one of their biggest investments, their home.
Summer is finally here. And whether you want to do something by yourself, with friends or family, I’ve got lots you can do in Pleasanton.
Well, since COVID guidelines have loosened a bit, there’s actually a lot of activities available.
Let’s start off with weekends on Main Street
Pleasanton’s historic downtown Main Street area is now closed off for car traffic from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. This is a great opportunity to take a casual stroll up and down Main Street to shop and dine. Pleasanton’s Downtown Main Street Association is planning to continue this format until the end of Labor Day weekend. Now, if you arrive early on Saturday morning, make sure you visit their Farmer’s Market, which runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Shadow Cliffs Regional Park is now open
This is a great area for picnics, walks, and general family fun. Due to the low water levels, the lake has some limitations. No swimming or launching boats via a trailer. However, you can fish and you can access the lake with your boat providing you can carry and put it into the lake by hand.
Also open is Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center
The pools and activities are now finally open to the public. For hours and operation, please view their website.
The Alameda Fairground is finally hosting activities this summer
The Alameda County Fairgrounds is now starting to host events, including horse races and the Good Guy Auto Show. Again, visit their website for times and dates.
And last, but definitely not least, is Pleasanton’s Recreational Department
They have several activities to choose from including indoor and outdoor camps and classes. Well, as you can see, a lot of positive changes have occurred since last year. Please let me know what you plan for the summer in Pleasanton.
I hope you enjoyed this article. Please let me know if you have any questions. Warren
Hello…I work with both buyers and sellers in the Tri-Valley area of Northern California. The Tri-Valley is comprised of 6 cities: Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, and Alamo. To better understand what each city has to offer, I have created a Pros and Cons video and BLOG for each – (Pros & Cons for Pleasanton, Pros & Cons for Livermore, Pros & Cons for Dublin, Pros & Cons for San Ramon, Pros & Cons for Danville and Pros & Cons for Alamo). If you are thinking about purchasing or selling a home, please reach out to me by text, phone, or email. If it is convenient, I can schedule a Zoom chat so we can discuss your home goals. Wishing you all the best on your home journey. Cheers!
